1. Boil 1/4 teaspoon powdered cardamom seeds in thin tea water and drink.
2. Cashewnuts are also a valuable remedy for the treatment of patients suffering from depression. Cashenut is very rich in Vitamin B GROUP - especially thiamine, which is good for depression patients.
3. Lemon Balm is another good cure for depression. About 30g of lemon balm should be placed in 1/2 litre of cold water and allowed to stand for twelve hours. The infusion should then be strained and taken in small doses throughout the day.
4. Add some fresh Rose petals to a cup of boiling water. Add sugar and drink whenever you feel depress
5. Take adequate amount of proper rest. You should always take atleast 8 hours sleep at night. In day time if you feel depressed, lying down in a dark room or taking half an hour sleep may make you feel better.
6. Another domestic remedy for depression is a tea made of Indian basil (tulsi) and sage(Ankolam). Use 1/4 teaspoon tulsi and 1/2 teaspoon of sage per cup of hot water; drink twice a day.
7. An Apple eaten with milk and honey is very good to uplift a mood.
